They were 20 to compete in this whole new chapter of Miss Haiti pageant. For the first time, the contestants had to participate in a Preliminary Competitions. These competitions took place last Friday at Le Villate (Pétion-Ville) where six of the girls who had the most votes on Facebook and Instagram and also in an overall evaluation behind the scene were first chosen than six more were selected based upon answers to the judges’ questions.

Even if some improvements are noticeable in this new edition of Miss Haiti, it will definitely take much more from the future winners than just been able to post pictures on Social Media and ask to vote for them. Within five months, they will have to have a platform, understand the importance to be a role model for their followers in all aspect of their lives, master the art of communication. After all, this is what Miss Haiti Organization is seeking this year in the future queens: “They have to be role models, leaders. They have be fine example in order to influence positively the Haitian youth, have a platform.”
We truly hope that our winners will be ready to compete very soon on international level next to hundreds of other young women from around the world.
The queen who will succeed to Seydina Allen (Miss World Haiti 2015) will be elected on august 13, 2016 at Royal Decameron.
