This year, Haiti’s participation in International Pageant started on day one with “Reinado International del Café 2017” held in Manizales, Colombia from January 1st to January 8th.
Reinado Interna ional del Café (International Queen of Coffee) is a Latin pageant launched in the 1950’s for countries producers of coffee. The pageant takes place each year in Manizales during the Feria de Manizales.
Danourah Bien-Aimé who was placed 2nd Runner-up in the national pageant, made the trip to Colombia. While Haiti didn't make the cut, on Saturday, January 7th, Maria Lourdes Acevedo from Mexico won the crown of “Reina Internacional del Café 2017”.
Despite her delicate beauty, in many pictures Miss Café Haiti 2017 seemed uncomfortable, sometimes absent or tired. No need to prove it, participating in international pageant can be both physically and mentally overwhelming. Reason why proper training is of extreme importance.
As we are gladly discovering all the emphasis Miss Haiti Organization is putting lately on the training of the young women chosen for the most important pageants in the world, we are certain that they will continue the search for the best queens and train all of them in order to start building a sash factor.
